OUR REFORMER BEDS HAVE LANDED!

Between lockdowns and shipping delays we feel like this has been a long time coming, but we can finally confirm — reformer pilates is happening!
We have eight beds that have been installed and are ready and waiting. We have transformed  the upstairs space at Caroline Springs into a dedicated reformer room.

To start, we’ll be offering two classes:

Cardio Reformer
A fun and fiery workout to get your heart rate up and muscles ignited. This dynamic class is packed with loads of oomph, so you walk away feeling super strong. We’ll use the jumpboard for added layers of fluidity, challenge, and fun. And use props like the magic circle, hand weights, pilates ball, and resistance bands all in the name of acute activation! Expect high energy, lots of laughs, booty burn, and a cardio high. Open to all levels of experience and fitness. Take the class as fast or as slow as you need — all exercises can be modified to suit your unique beautiful body! Leap outside of your comfort zone, build endurance, burn calories, and get inspired by the others around you.

Power Reformer
Power might move at a slightly slower pace than our Cardio Reformer class, but make no mistake — we are here to elevate that heart rate! Here, we’ll get deep into nitty-gritty muscles. It’s a spicy core workout, guaranteed to wake up muscles you didn’t know were there. We’ll focus on our balance and control, improving posture, technique, and body awareness. You’ll feel stronger with every class and your concentration will be challenged too. You’ll walk away feeling energised, totally sculpted, and inspired to do the next class. Who is this class for? Anyone and everyone! Open to all levels of experience and fitness. We’ll teach you everything you need to know to feel comfortable and quickly familiar with the reformer bed. It’s easy, intuitive, and a lot of fun.

Why adopt a reformer pilates practice? 

If you’re not familiar with the reformer, it might look a little intimidating at first! But once you start exploring it can be a lot of fun and you’ll quickly become well-acquainted with the ins and outs of its mechanics.

As always, Yoga High is for everyBODY and our reformer pilates classes will be too. Reformer pilates is an inclusive style of workout that can be modified to support all kinds of abilities. 

Our two reformer classes will work your whole body, improving your strength, balance, coordination, posture and alignment. Because of the extra resistance and weights, it tones everything and in a really targeted way — so get ready to say hello to a transformed core, back, glutes, arms and thighs! The slow, controlled movements really sculpt the abdominal muscles and get into the smaller muscles you probably didn’t know you had.

Because of the need for balance and stability, reformer requires concentration, focus and mindfulness. This tests our patience and persistence, and leaves us with those amazing high on life feels and a swag of self-confidence.  

Movement is healing, sweat is cleansing, and hard work is spirit-elevating! Get ready to challenge yourself with new ways of moving and balancing, while growing your strength and endurance.  

With eight beds, these are small, intimate classes allowing for lots of attention and supportive adjustments in a safe and nurturing environment. Classes will be held upstairs at our beautiful Caroline Springs studio. Our reformer pilates teachers will bring the same passion, energy and experience that you know and love from your mat practice.
